Thyl Snoeck (PhD VUB 2011) is a guest professor (10%) at the Department of Anatomical Research Training and Education (ARTE) at the VUB and teaches at the Haute Ecole Bruxelles Brabant. He is an expert in and has published on anatomy and biomechanics. Between 2008 and 2012, Thyl Snoeck worked on the identification of bone material from archaeological contexts, using macroscopic and microscopic techniques, together with Professor Marc Groenen at the ULB.
